3 HDM Acts up for Chortle Awards 2022
Alasdair Beckett-King, Archie Henderson and BBC1 Ghosts are all nominated in this years Chortle Awards.
Alasdair Beckett-King is nominated for ‘Social Media Award’ thanks to his plethora of popular short videos he releases on twitter and Youtube, Archie Henderson for the Variety Award due to his creation of alter ego pop-star Jazz Emu and BBC1 Ghosts (co-created by Martha Howe-Douglas) is nominated for the TV Award.
Established in 2002, the Chortle Awards celebrate comedy at every level, from TV names such as Alan Carr, Bill Bailey, Mo Gilligan and Daisy May Cooper – all nominated this year – to newcomers on the live comedy circuit.
Shortlists are drawn up by a panel of independent industry experts, and the winners chosen by public vote, which is open now. It closes at 5pm on March 17.
