Edd Hedges

Edd Hedges is an award-winning stand-up comedian, writer and podcaster whose work spans live comedy, broadcast and chart-topping audio. He won the prestigious So You Think You’re Funny? Award at the Edinburgh Fringe in 2013, in 2014 Edd won Piccadilly Comedy Club New Comedian of the Year and was a finalist for Leicester Square New Comedian of the Year. Edd was also invited to perform at Montreal Just For laughs in 2014
In 2018, Edd performed his critically acclaimed debut Edinburgh show to sell-out crowds at the Soho Theatre, firmly establishing himself as one of the UK’s most distinctive and compelling storytelling comedians.
Edd is the co-creator and host of the hit podcast Wisecrack, which has achieved major success in the United States. The show reached #1 on Apple Podcasts in both the Comedy and True Crime charts, was featured in Apple’s Top Podcasts of 2025, and was voted Best Podcast of the Year by The Guardian.
Wisecrack has been nominated for an iHeartRadio Award and led the nominations at the 2026 Ambies Awards in New York with five nominations, including Best Podcast, Best Comedy Podcast, Best Sound Design, Best Society & Culture Podcast, and a nomination for Edd as Best Scriptwriting. A scripted US adaptation is currently in development, alongside a full US tour across America scheduled for 2026.
An internationally experienced live performer, Edd has appeared at major comedy clubs across the UK including The Comedy Store, GLEE, Komedia and Just The Tonic, as well as internationally at venues such as Gotham Comedy Club (New York), Helium Comedy Club (Atlanta) and Yuk Yuk’s (Canada). Festival appearances include Montreal Just for Laughs, Adelaide Fringe, Melbourne International Comedy Festival and the Edinburgh Fringe, with solo shows running regularly since 2013 and recently headlined at Denver CrimeCon (2025) and Las Vegas CrimeCon (2026).
