Jon Long

Jon Long is a stand up and musical comedian. His cheery and affable stage presence and host of acerbic comedy songs have seen him become a favourite on the live circuit.
Jon has appeared at the Edinburgh Fringe numerous times, making his critically acclaimed solo-show debut in 2019, with ‘Planet Killing Machine’ produced by Mick Perrin Worldwide. The show was based on the ten years Jon spent working in environmental education.
Following the success of ‘Planet Killing Machine’ in 2021 Jon developed a show for BBC Radio 4 titled ‘Extinction Compendium’. Jon Holmes of Unusual Productions produced the show, which also featured Biologist Gillian Burke and HDM’s Alasdair Beckett-King.
Jon has gone on to produce six episodes of an eco themed show, also for Radio 4, titled ‘Carbon Lifeforms’ alongside climate scientist Dr. Tara Shine.
He has provided tour support for HDM’s Chris McCausland (Live at the Apollo, Would I lie to you? Strictly Come Dancing) on both his Speaky Blinder tour in 2022/23, and again for nearly 250 dates on his recent Yonks tour.
