BBC Radio 4 has commissioned another two comedy series from HD Management clients, Jonathan Pie and Stuart Mitchell.

Tom Walker, who plays the angry political journalist Jonathan Pie, has written and will star in ‘Call Jonathan Pie’ a new scripted comedy podcast that goes behind the scenes of his fictional phone-in on BBC Radio.

Glaswegian comedian Stuart Mitchell has his stand up show ‘Stuart Mitchell’s Cost of Living’ commissioned. In the autobiographical series, we join ex-banker and treasury insider Stuart Mitchell as he takes the audience on a ‘poacher turned game-keeper’ stand up journey through economics and social entrepreneurship.

Radio 4’s comedy and entertainment commissioner Julia McKenzie said: ‘I am really excited by this year’s range of commissions and hope they bring a bit of fun and laughter to the audience.
