Tom walker is an actor, writer and comedian best known for his brilliant satirical creation ‘Jonathan Pie’.
With over 1.7 million Facebook followers, his ‘frustrated news reporter’ videos regularly achieve millions of views.
Pie’s four live shows have sold out venues such as the Hammersmith Apollo and the London Palladium and have been performed across the US and Australia. His second live show ‘Jonathan Pie: Back in the Studio’ was broadcast on BBC1 and his last tour ’The Fake News Tour’ was nominated for a Chortle Award.
His work with The New York Times went internationally viral building on the cult status he had achieved.
Tom wrote and starred in his first scripted sitcom titled ‘Call Jonathan Pie’ for BBC Sounds in 2023. The podcast was a tremendous success and BBC R4 repeated the entire series at 11pm across 10 consecutive weeks.
Before becoming Jonathan Pie, Tom was a very unsuccessful actor for many years. This is something he hopes to remedy in the near future.

‘Call Jonathan Pie’ has been nominated for ‘Best Sitcom/Comedy in the 2024 Audio Drama Awards and the creator of the character, Tom Walker, has been nominated for ‘Best Actor’ for his portrayal of radio presenter Jonathan Pie.
‘Call Jonathan Pie’ was written and created by Tom, who also played the title role. The highly successful 10-part scripted comedy was Tom’s first Radio 4 commission and was released on BBC Sounds in 2023 before being repeated on BBC Radio 4. It was produced by Alison Vernon-Smith of YadaYada Productions.
